Tea with Mr Porter

Men should know that there is certain  etiquette  and dress code when it comes to taking tea in a fine establishment or in fine company. As demonstrated in this old school visual guide featured on the Mens version of the famous net-a-porter called mrporter.com

Tattoo my Teacup

I personally don't have Tattoos and probably never will, nothing against them in fact I think they can be quite stunning... but on my  teacup  hell yes!

Trapped in the past

I often come across people who are trapped in the past when it comes to tea culture, who still believe tea is for ladies and the elderly. Not to play down the importance of tea for women but I love to  challenge  men with new views on tea culture in what is typically quite a macho country (New Zealand). Lest we forget the soldiers who lived on tea during the war or the working class fueled on tea during the industrial revolution (that and beer!).

Many important personalities in the history of tea are men, be they trader, slave or sage, emperor, monk or myth. Tea is the working mans cup and tea is the thinking mans cup.

Big and Brutal

Ok I've changed my mind... sometimes there's nothing better than a big brutal mug of tea!

Tea cool for school

I've found myself taking tea from big mugs for a while... but an old man said to me recently how he found it shocking the way people now days guzzle tea from big mugs like there's no tomorrow, that tea should be sipped and savoured. My GOD he's so right! So I'm trying to go back to the teacup because I'm a guilty gas guzzler (tea is my fuel dammit).

Oh if I could just dive into my cup of tea sometimes...
