Sexy Technology

Ok so I love the old school but I'm a sucker for sexy technology too! I own one of these Breville Tea Makers and I can't stop showing it off. More than a novelty it makes a damn good brew, I set the timer at night so my tea is ready when I get up in the morning... Ohhh that alone makes it worth the NZ$400. Photos from Trendhunter.

Cup my Kiss

I love the moment in this video where they share the memory of a kiss and take a sip at the same time... illustrates so beautifully how much can be shared through something so simple as a cup of tea.

Through the Water Glass

I love the haunting serenity of this series of shots by underwater Photographer Elena Kalis

It reminds me of an idea I've had for a while to run a competition for the best 'Underwater Tea Party' photos... a similar bizarre craze happened where people all over the world started taking hilarious photos of themselves Ironing on an ironing board underwater... it's been taken to the point where scuba divers are doing really elaborate photos down in the depths!

The Public Baths

If you are going to do teabags at least have a little fun with it... how about attaching the faces of people you'd like to see end up in hot water!?

Two Mumps of Sugar

New York punk band 'Mumps' do tea... just a bit more edgy than the Beatles doing tea!

Enamel Style

I bought 4 of these Baileys Enamelware mugs on the weekend from The Department Store / Simon James Design in Takapuna. I can't wait till they get the matching teapot back in... then I found the enamel billy can shown below on the Baileys website... love it!

I take tea my dear

I don't drink coffee I take tea my dear / I like my toast done on one side / And you can hear it in my accent when I talk / I'm an Englishman in New York ~ Sting

Tea with The Beatles

There's nothing more stylish than a bunch of well dressed lads drinking tea the old school way. Especially when it's The Beatles.

Exotic Tea Culture

I was excited to find these shots /via Trend Hunter because I have a few of these very cups myself! I want the rest now...

Mini Tea

A tribute to Amelie?

Tea Towels

Two separate tea towels - I think they should be on the same one though... I can just imagine Mr T saying that to any woman that asked for breakfast in bed!

The Art of Gary Tricker

Tea, Cats & Trains. I found and bought a work by Gary Tricker for my sisters birthday one year and have ever since been determined to purchase one for myself. I absolutely love his work. I'm sure they're available in a number of places but I know Flagstaff Gallery in Devonport, Auckland still sell them.

Topknot Tea

"Lady Gaga would love ‘Tea Pause’ by Zurab Dartsmelia; the pop star wouldn’t need to carry a teacup around if she could weave one into her hair. The shoot is for Anna Miminoshvili’s gorgeous couture dresses, and models Khatia Glunchadze and Inna Pivnenko rock these scalloped, draped gowns beautifully.
I love tea party couture, but I’ve never seen tea pots actually woven into hair. Check out more from ‘Tea Pause’ by Zurab Dartsmelia above" from Trend Hunter
